Rolling Stone dio a conocer su ránking de las 100 mejores series de televisión de todos los tiempos, actualizando su lista anterior, publicada en 2016.
Al igual que en aquel listado, Los Soprano se posiciona en el número 1, demostrando su vigencia a más de 15 años de su primera emisión. Esta producción, emitida entre 1999 y 2007, suele ocupar los primeros puestos entre lo mejor de la pantalla chica.
El segundo lugar fue para Los Simpsons, una serie que en 2016 ocupó el sexto lugar y que ahora ascendió en el ránking, pese a que sus mejores temporadas fueron emitidas hace más de dos décadas.
El tercer lugar fue para Breaking Bad, serie que retuvo el puesto que le habían asignado anteriormente en este mismo listado.
Luego siguen la aclamada The Wire (que cayó del 2° al 4°) y la comedia Fleabag (2016-2019). Seinfeld (6), Mad Men (7), Cheers (8), Atlanta (9) y The Mary Tyler Moore Show (10) completan el top ten de la lista.
El ránking también contempla otras series elogiadas por la crítica y los televidentes como Succession (11), The Americans (14), Twin Peaks (16), Watchmen (23), Parks and Recreation (30), Game of Thrones (31), Better Call Saul (32) y la versión estadounidense de The Office (34).
